Hello Hive! I'd been anticipating the official launch of the VYB front-end and it's finally here!!! You can read the announcement post HERE.
VYB is an acronym for Verify Your Brain, aka, Vybrainium which is a new Hive community with its front-end and token. As you may have rightly guessed, it's related to Proof Of Brain (POB) and all users of POB will definitely love this new front-end. To know more, check out its initial whitepaper.
As soon as I read that the front-end was launched, I logged in and my experience was satisfying. You can access the front-end by clicking HERE. This post was created on the site. It's features are sleek, fast and functional. I also like that this community is focused on engagement which is a bedrock of the Hive world.
Acquiring Some Tokens
Apart from being a community, it's token, VYB, is available on the Hive Engine and trading has commenced tribaldex.com which is one of the means of acquiring this token.
For those with staked POB tokens, they are automatically airdropped some VYB tokens. So you can check yours via your HE wallet.
There is also the option of swapping your POB tokens (minimum of 100) for VYB at the exchange rate of 1:1. I used this process to acquire some VYB tokens and staked them as I missed out on the airdrops. The process is quite simple —send a minimum of 100 POB tokens to Hive account @x-1pob-1vyb and you will receive an equal amount of VYB in your account.
Before you use the 1:1 swap option, check through this link to be sure there are sufficient tokens in the account to match your swap request.
Also, double check the name of the account (@x-1pob-1vyb) before sending your POB to it to avoid sending to a wrong account or a non-existent account and consequently losing your tokens.
